Doing some research on ASP hosting, I came across a company that seems to focus only on running and hosting windows servers and clients.

maximumasp.com

They even have vs.net integration in their hosting.

They cover the spectrum of plans, but they are pricey. Seems to be for serious Windows Developers who want ASP hosting.

Pricey indeed. I don't see why somebody will want to pay that much for a dedicated server, which is not even managed. But maybe that's just me.

How much is it?
What plan are you looking at that you consider pricey?

Its quite normal for Windows hosting to cost alot.
When you consider all the licensing of the OS, MS SQL, VS.Net etc plus the cost of the server itself, it all adds up.

The cost of the server itself is the same like for a Linux server. The monthly lease for Windows 2003 Server is $20-$30 and you can lease SQL Server 2000 for $69 a month. In reality it's not that much more than Linux, when you consider that you can put 400 clients on a server.

I thought Windows servers cost more than that.
Granted I've never run my own server, but I assumed it was several hundred per month.
Shocked

This is a very popular misconception, that Windows server is expensive to run. It is not. I don't consider $20 per month for licensing Windows server to be a major investment. The $69 that you can lease the SQL Server 2000 is not a big deal either, if you consider how much more powerful and robust this database server is compared to MySQL.
