Password Protection

I would like to password protect some of my pages for special users who will have the password.

What is the best way to do this?

You can keep User table with usernames and passwords in a database and then authenticate against it whenever somebody tries to access certain page.

Also you can use the built-in ASP.NET authentication capabilities.

I guess my question is now to you prevent someone without the password from viewing the page? Is that part of the built-in ASP security?

You'll have a clause in your function that says if the password is wrong then they are not allowed access.

You'll also need to set cookie and/or session variables for this to work properly.
