Hi,

I want to move to a new web host as I'm looking for more reliable hosting solution. I need 99% uptime 200 MB space, 5-6GB monthly transfer and 2 domains. I need full ASP support (I need to be able write to text files) and I need ASP.NET support too. It would be nice if I can have 1 MySQL database.

Any suggestions?

Hi Jeff,

You can check our Standard hosting plan, which offers pretty much what you need. We offer full ASP & ASP.NET support and MySQL databases.
You can have a MS SQL Server database too, but there is additional fee for it.

Check all ASP hosting plans here:

Cheers,

Just an aside 99% uptime is not that much. I tend to prefer providers that target 5 9s as their uptime goal. 5 9s = 99.999%.

99% uptime means almost 7 hours of downtime in a month. That is a lot of downtime, in my opinion.

Yeah well 99.999% is like 10 minutes of total downtime a month. That is a pretty high standard, and I would guess such a committed standard would be extremely expensive.

Be aware that the hosting uptime guarantees usually do not include the downtime for server patches, software installs, etc.

That is a good point Don. I was refering to just downtime related to emergencies or failures though.

Really should be almost non-existant.

And 99% of the time you're not going to notice this downtime. They might be in 5 second intervals - rarely will you get 1 hour of downtime happening in one big chunk.

I've never had a problem with downtime on my host, and they rate their uptime at 99%

I'm happy with 99.5% hosting uptime. Most of my website are not critical, so I don't worry too much about the server going down, but I admit is nice to have a reliable web host.
