Does anyone here use MS Access?

I have never liked access at all. I just can not get it to do what I want.
No doubt its due to my lack of skill.

But compared to any other DB, Access just seems rather "simple" and unprofessional.

Access is not meant to be a server backend database, but you can use it as a desktop database just fine.

Yep.. no one in their right mind would use access as a back end for any serious application Very Happy

I have a hard time using it to be honest -its funny how the simple programs are often the hardest to use!

Access can get pretty in depth once you get past the GUI. Don't write it off completely.
It's nice to use as a small scale system, eg for a small office application where you dont need big license fees for Oracle or similar.
