A very experienced developer told me the other day that most people/companies would never consider running a commercial application in asp.net, due to it being very easy to decompile, hence lack of security.
Is this true?
Is this why most companies use Java for things like internet banking applications? |

Many huge banks use ASP.NET for thei websites. How would somebody decompile your web application if the code is on your own server and nobody has access to it?

Paul is right. Unless you just meant security in general?
It can not be decompiled.
What about desktop applications though, are they run on servers?
Im talking like things such as ATM applications. |
