|
|
I wrote a little application in C# and when I run it on my development pc it works fine. I have tried to run it on another PC I have and at my friend's house and both get the following error:
Quote: | The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135).
Press on OK to terminate the application |
What do you think the problem could be? |

That PC obviously doesn't have the .Net framework installed, therefore can not run this program.
Once they install the .Net framework it will work fine. |

Thank you very much Necron. So simple yet completely overlooked. I did not even think about. I will install .net and see how it goes. |

.Net should be the first thing installed on a PC wanting to run .net programs
Windows update should have picked it up anyway, as it's a standard update for all OS's. |

What version of the .NET framework are you using?

He was using no version of it, that's why it wasn't working.
Once he installs it through Windows update, he will have the latest version with the service pack. |
