How many of you have moved on to version 2.0?
I hear the coding is supposed to be dramatically reduces, particularly database functions.
Has anyone here migrated from 1.1 to 2.0? |

I haven't tried ASP.NET 2.0 yet, but I'm planning to do that very soon. I've heard that ASP.NET 2.0 is a major improvement over ASP.NET 1.1.
How much does the new Visual Studio 2005 cost?

No idea on VS.Net 2005 cost, sorry. I have not looked into that yet as I do my coding at work so do not need to purchase software.
2.0 has simplified the datagrid dramatically. no longer do we have to repeat code over and over which is great for me.
This is the official word from MS:
Quote: | ASP.NET 2.0 fixes the problems of the DataGrid through a set of data source controls designed to encapsulate data that can be bound to data Web controls, and a replacement for the DataGrid—the GridView control. |
