Do you all use the code behind technique, or do you embed your asp.net commands in the .aspx page?
I always use code behind, I enjoy keeping my classes, bjects and functions in its own file, this is the more OOP approach and one that I find the best when it comes to adding to and editing code as it's easy to find what you want to change. |

I use code-behind only and never mix HTML with server-side ASP.NET code. It's cleaner this way, and you don't have to deal with spaghetti code anymore _________________ Peter

Same here. That is what I hated about plain asp.
It's like writing javascript rather than a server side programming language.
It saves you a heck of alot of time having all that code in one or two files and seperate from your HTML mess! |

I use code behind too. The asp code itself is alreadly so messy. If the vb codings are added, it will be confusing and chaotic. |

Well that can depend on your coding technique
It can be possible to use inline code if its a very small application or a few web pages.
At times like that, code behind can be overkill.
Does anyone know which takes longer for the server to process - code behind or inline code? |
