Pardon my ignorance as it relates to VB.Net but are people using it to develop web-based applications or is strictly being used for desktop applications?

I would think you would want to use asp for web applications.
I would think VB would be second choice behind C# for desktop applications.
Sometimes vb can be good for something quick and dirty, at least that is what I have seen.

Nope, thats not right at all.
Vb is used alot more than C#, due to old programmers being more comfortable with the vb roots.
VB.Net is certainly not used just for 'quick and dirty' jobs  |
